The mission of AKSHARA is to work with orphan and vulnerable children who have to be nourished as future citizenry in the rural, urban and Tribal areas of Visakhapatnam and to undertake their socio-economic empowerment along with women, children, and youth, old and infirm.
The Vision of the Organization is to witness transformational change in sustaining the growth levels of orphans & vulnerable, infirm and old, destitute, in accessing rights, sustained livelihoods through civil society fostered linkages and to establish ownership on resources for children and communities.
The persistence of hunger and abject poverty is in large measure due to subjugation; marginalization and disempowerment of deprived such children communities and here where the organization is pressing its resources and mechanisms for making the orphans and vulnerable to sustain and lead the rights accredited lives.
I have been incredibly fortunate in my life to never have to experience the difficulties I see in the world every day. I can’t imagine what it’s like to go hungry - and I think it’s a shame that in a country as great as ours, anyone should. With that desire in my heart, I preside over AKSHARA. We’re all looking to make a difference in our world and I believe that by focusing on communities, we’re going to make the most substantial impact. The world is made up of these important social connections and if you foster them positively, they’ll pay huge dividends - in love, care, and a better world.
As the CEO and an ardent social worker and social activist i assumed to take my role as a lead facilitator and negotiator or the rights of orphan and vulnerable children and facilitated several massive drives of rehabilitation to such destitute children all along my way through the ladder of social activism which has enabled the distinction of having been the child rights activist that has ultimately took me to organize the home as an initiative of the AKSHARA society. All along engagement as the CEO has been very articulated in making the notion of child protection a synonymous passion for replication and staggered notion among the civil society structures and being an Advocate i had evinced keen interest in organizing the legal negotiations and as a member of DLSA i overwhelmed the matters of child and orphan rights, a matter of significance.
